A CALL TO REMEMBER … your KEY to PEACE of mind!
No matter where you live in the world, we all know the difficulty in maintaining peace of mind and stability in our emotions because of all the troubles going on around us. But friend…I’m here to remind you that even in the midst of chaos, you can enjoy God’s peace. It’s a gift that doesn’t make sense, but it’s available to everyone who lives in Christ and who follows the Holy Spirit’s leading. This is the GOOD NEWS we should dwell upon no matter what!
THIS IS A CALL TO REMEMBER! It’s good to have a friend to remind us from time to time of what we know to be true but have perhaps forgotten. AND sometimes we need a trusted friend to talk to or to point us to professionals to help us in our times of need. I know I have benefited from both. Plus we have the Word of God that reminds us of truth & leads us to healing & hope.
We read in 2 Timothy, chapters 3 & 4, the Apostle Paul was nearing his death and was being intentional to share his final words to Timothy, his son in the faith. Paul reminded Timothy of what he had taught him, how he had lived and of his life’s purpose. He triggered Timothy’s memory of how his mother and grandmother had taught him the Word of God. He reminded him that what he’d learned since infancy and what he’d witnessed throughout his life was saving truth and not to be abandoned. He charged him, no matter what the circumstances he will face in life, to continue in what he’d learned and had been convinced of, because of WHO he had learned it from. He was a good friend! ….. He reminded him to REMEMBER!
Paul went on to encourage Timothy as he knew Timothy would mourn his passing. He said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race and I have kept the faith.” Paul knew that as he was getting ready to pass from his suffering body into his new eternal body, that a crown of righteousness awaited him. He had hope because of God’s Amazing Grace and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ whom he had placed his faith in.
Just as Paul reminded Timothy to recall WHAT he knew and remember WHO he knew and WHERE he learned it from, I want to encourage you as well. REMEMBER friend, to endure to the end. Love and forgive one another. Put your hope and trust in Jesus. Fight the good fight. Hold onto your faith and finish well. Our lives this side of heaven will be filled with sorrow, grief and troubles. But we have a remedy of hope we can enjoy today as we wait for our promised future in Christ where there will be no more sorrow or crying or pain. Do not give up in the middle of your journey.
This is the GOOD NEWS worth dwelling on. Recall it to your mind often and think on things that are good, true, and praiseworthy. This is HOW you can receive the gift of peace of mind & stable emotions in the midst of uncertainty, anxiety, and fear. This peace is a gift for the children of God.
Those who’ve believed in Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior and have put their faith and hope in Him, and are led by the Holy Spirit, ARE the children of God. That’s WHO WE ARE because of WHO calls us His own. REMEMBER THAT!

GOOD NEWS from the Word of God:
“…Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful
love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.
Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in Him!”
