It is April ~ It is Springtime ~ A New Season and I am welcoming it. How about you?
This Holy Week, as we reflect upon the life, death, resurrection, ascension as well as the anticipation of the return of Jesus Christ to make all things new, as I pondered what to write and speak about in this issue of the mid-month Good eNews, I couldn’t get away from the words of Peter and John found in Acts 4:20, “As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” They were speaking of Jesus, whom had resurrected from the dead, and had given power in His name to heal the lame man whom they were now being questioned about. They took the opportunity to share the gospel truth.
I too wish to only speak of the things I have seen and heard, through the Word of God, through the voice of the Holy Spirit who confirms the Word and reminds of what Jesus said. So, as the Holy Spirit reminded me to keep the main thing the subject of this month’s message, I too will remind you of the Good News of the gospel. And the mystery of it is that the gospel message is for everyone who will believe in Jesus Christ, the perfect Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, who redeems us (bore the penalty for sin in the world) so we can be restored to the Father and receive eternal life. Another amazing truth is it is a free gift of salvation by the grace of God and His only son Jesus who gave Himself as a ransom and was victorious over sin, death and the grave. So, as many celebrate this Resurrection Sunday, and participate in Easter activities, remember that the tomb is empty, Jesus has risen and He is alive and is coming back again for all who believe and trust in Him to be Lord and Savior of their lives. Don’t delay. JESUS’ WORDS: “I AM COMING SOON!“
Jesus is my Salvation and He is my friend. He has healed my mind, my body, my marriage and my family. His written Word and the Words the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart cleanses me, leads me, satisfies me and sustains me, Jesus is my source! He is my Light, my Life, my Hope, my Salvation and the One I Seek! I cannot help but speak and sing of what I have seen (witnessed) and heard (the Word, His Voice, and others giving testimony) and what I’ve experienced and know to be true. I believe…so I speak!

I will keep this issue short and focussed on the life of Christ as the Holy Spirit gave me this instruction. There is no greater story to be told than the story of the love and glory of God who has provided a way for us to dwell with Him forever.
