I recorded this video Saturday morning, October 5, while in Orlando, Florida for a business convention. Four days later, Hurricane Milton would make it’s way across the state, only two weeks after Hurricane Helene had left many in need of recovery, power, supplies and lots of prayer. The timing was interesting.
The message I recorded is about the power of prayer & the phrase found a few times in Revelation 2-3, “He who has an ear to hear, let him hear.” I had been pondering and journaling about this for several weeks ahead of the storms! Mid September, on a flight, I glanced out the window and saw these small clouds stretched across the sky. I took notice of several forming that were translucent and I thought of the story of Elijah in the Bible. Key Words: “I see a cloud the size of a man’s hand!” Click the video to hear what the Holy Spirit was speaking to me as I pondered the clouds and the words I had been reading in the Word.

The timing of this message was relevant! The Spirit is speaking to His people and those who are tuning in and listening will hear what He is saying. If you are a follower of Jesus, you too have an ear to hear, so together, lets hear and then lets take action. In this case, the call to action was to pray ~ Collective, effective prayers coming together (many man sized clouds coming together)…to cause a change of plans. In hindsight, post Hurricane Milton, though our prayers still go out to those who were affected by both storms, we did indeed see an answer to prayer. We saw the hand of God in miraculous power, wrap the hurricane with dry wind, break it up, slow it down and lesson the destruction that could have been. The Lord caused a change of the hurricane’s plans. It was obvious!
When we SEE something or HEAR something that could cause us to freeze or fear… let’s instead, put our hands together, focus our thoughts on things above and call out to God in earnest prayer, BELIEVING He hears us and will respond. As we trust in God, we will receive His peace to our troubled minds. He will give us greater faith to stand still as He is working on our behalf! Let’s create hand sized clouds of prayer in collaboration with others. As they rise up, lets expect God to release the rain of provision, protection and His Presence in our lands, our marriages, our homes, our churches, our Countries. And as He does, we will also receive the Peace that surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts and minds, in Christ Jesus! And that my friend is GOOD NEWS!
